Photo Diary - Hotdogs & Bubble Tea

Oh hey Mr. in the back. lol
Dress - F21 (Sale) / Faux Leather Jacket - Zara / Hoodie - Nike / Bag - Thrifted (Marino Orlandi - definitely my favorite thrift store find!) / Shoes - Luxe / Tights - Wal-Mart

It's bears and I's x# "monthaversary," so naturally we went out for hotdogs and bubble tea (my favorite combo). Words can't even describe how amazing bear is. Thanks for taking pictures of me bear lol. Happy monthaversary.

I bought this dress for $10 at f21 on their get 30% off sale deal. If you can find it grab it! $10, comfortable, stylish. What else can you ask? I paired it with my Nike hoodie last seen on my last post here, and my faux leather jacket last seen here.

I found this purse neglected at the back of my closet. I've been predominately using bags big enough for school, but since its reading week I've opted for a smaller bag. I found it at a thrift store two years ago for less than $20 and it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. Turns out its a real leather bag made in Italy by Marino Orlandi, and their bags aren't cheap. So that's what I call winning.

I hope you guys had an amazing day. Remember to enjoy every moment. A reminder for you and for me.

Love,

Mariah-Ruthel

P.s. The more pictures I take in public the less awkward I start to feel about strangers watching. Hehe it happens.

Photo Diary - Laid Back Saturday

Growing up I realize it isn't the fancy parties or the cool new places to hangout (though those are great in themselves) it was always about the company you keep. This Saturday I spent the day with my Bear & my family. Bear and I ate some Filipino food for lunch. We picked up my brother and spent the rest of the night frying tim tams in pancake batter (mmm), eating pizza and watching movies together. I wouldn't have wanted to spend my Saturday doing anything else.

My outfit today was super casual. It was chilly but I don't bother to wear a winter coat if we're not spending large amounts of time outside. It's definitely something I'd throw on for school.

OOTD -- Jean Jacket - Levis (Recent Purchase--first time buying a jean jacket believe it or not) / Hoodie - Nike / Pants - Express / Shoes - Luxe

H&M Haulin'

I had my last midterm Friday morning! Whohoo! To treat myself a little I did some retail damage at H&M. I didn't end up purchasing all of the items seen above (limited by a student income). I wonder if you can guess which ones I kept and which ones I returned ;)

Happy Weekend! :)

P.s. I know you like the phone-case doubling up as a card holder.

February Top 10 Favorites

From left to right
  1. Sparesource Stippling Brush / I haven't invested in "great quality" seriously overpriced brushes because I've been able to find some great brushes in the drug store like this one that I' am definitely satisfied with. I love using this brush for my blush because it doesn't move my foundation around.

  2. Real Techniques Buffing Brush / This brush is amazing at applying any liquid foundation. It is also inexpensive and easily accessible. I bought it at Wal-Mart guys. Hands down my favorite brush ever. In life. Done. Over.

  3. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H / A more recent purchase. A sales lady at Sephora recomended this foundation to me and on a whim (she was really nice) I bought it. It's the first foundation Bear has ever complimented me on. He's always said, "nice you look good," but he's never directly complemented me on certain makeup product on my face. He actually went "that foundation is nice on you." Can't take rare complements like that lightly.

  4. L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner / I've cried and this thing stayed put. I've tired a gel eyeliner from MAC and from Sephora. I still use this one.

  5. Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush in Brazen Bronze / What can I say? I was walking through the Bay and she placed the most beautiful bronzey rosey heavenly color on my cheeks and I was sold. I've had this one for a while and still haven't hit pan. (How i justify the splurge).

  6. Tarte Maracuja Miracle Foundation / I've been alternating between this one and the Lancome. This one is definitely more dewy but it doesn't last as long as the Lancome. I've gotten a lot of complements when I wear this one (including one from bear) so what's not to love?

  7. Revlon Color Stay Liquid Liner / This eyeliner dries matte (unlike many liquid liners) which pretty much sold me on it. It also doesn't flake and end up irritating my super sensitive eyes. Though when it starts to dry up it does take a bit of building to get it to be the intensity I like.

  8. Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Long-lasting Under-eye Concealer / Does not crease. Stays put. Covers even my blemishes. Sold.

  9. Beauty Blender.  I use this the most often. It applies liquid foundation like a dream but I hate cleaning it, not because it's difficult but because I' am extremely lazy (Which is why I alternate with the buffing brush).  If you haven't invested in a beauty blender you are seriously missing out on life.

  10. Loreal 821 Neutrals Quad - My matte does my eyebrows and my eyeshadow look of the day perfection palette is what they should name it. I do use it more for my brows because I don't usually wear eyeshadow day to day.

Let me just say that taking photos of your stuff isn't as easy as it looks. In one picture you could see the shadow of my camera and I was even caught snapping it in the mirror. Now you understand the reasoning behind the photo filter (which isn't doing an amazing job of hiding my noob-ness).

Neoprene

  Blazer - Nameless (Five o Seven)  / Tights & Tee - Winners / Shoes - Hudson's Bay (Outlet)

Happy Sunday! I found this neoprene feelin' (I don't think its real neoprene) jacket on a random trip to the mall. It was on sale, and I can never turn down a good sale (guilty).  I went a size up to get that "over sized-boyfriend" look.  I love how it feels and I don't have anything in my wardrobe made of this material, so its a great addition to my collection. I paired the jacket with a simple white tee and my cotton/suedeish tights I practically live in (obsessed).

Now its back to studying for my midterms. Wah :(

Sunday Morning OOTD

Boots: Rockport / Pants: Dynamite / Blazer: H&M / Blouse: Zara / Bag: Danier / Necklace: Swarovski (gifted by Bear)

 Arm Candy: F21 - DKNY - Ardene

Happy Sunday everyone!

Though its not particularly required to dress formal at our church; I pretty much find any excuse to dress up a little. Today I dressed up around the grey blazer and wanted the blazer to stand out so I wore all black with some silver accessories. Follow on Bloglovin

OOTD - Boyfriend Jeans & Leather

Sweater - Express / Faux Leather Jacket - Zara / Jeans - Silver Jeans / Boots - Target

Hair haphazardly thrown into a bun? Yah it's the end of the night for Mariah.

Please excuse the worn out look in my face and outfit. It's the end of the night and I'm leaving my cousins apartment. It's Robin's 18th birthday and he planned a day of gaming with his friends so I wanted to be as comfortable as possible (without wearing sweatpants). I still can't believe my little cousin is 18! Ahhh where does time go?

This is my first OOTD post and it was unintentional. I just wanted to see how my outfit looked like on camera, so I asked Bear to snap a picture. The outfit started with the boyfriend jeans (because of the loose fit they were super comfy). I decided to play on the toughness of the jeans and bust out the black and leather. Bear says I look like a real bad girl and I can't say I don't like the sound of it.

And someone please send a memo to the past Mariah and tell her to fix her collar. Thanks. Follow on Bloglovin
